Examination and functional therapy in shoulder disorders
Two days of clinical course prepare to effectively conduct therapy with an orthopedic patient. Parts considering examination and treatment of shoulder disorders are based on recent studies published in scientific journals and the current state of knowledge (Evidence based medicine).
Objectives:
• To gain practical skills in proper diagnosis and conducting efficient pre and post surgical therapy in most common shoulder injuries and disorders.

– physiotherapists
– medical doctors (orthopedists, medical rehabilitation specialists);

CONTENT
• Basic shoulder anatomy and joint biomechanics
• Comprehensive shoulder examination
• Analysis of examination – shoulder disorders
• Impingement Syndrome
• Rotator cuff's disorders – tears, tendon pathologies
• "Frozen shoulder"
• Brachio-scapular instability
• Brachio-clavicular joint disorders
• Glenoid labrum injuries
• Surgeries: Bankart's reconstruction, SLAP lesion ("Superior Labral tear from Anterior to Posterior"), rotator cuff injuries
• Physiotherapy (conservative and post surgical) in shoulder disorders (manual therapy, medical taping, stretching of the passive and active structures, dynamic shoulder stabilization, muscle training in opened and closed kinematic chains)
